CA Intermediate (New Scheme) is the second level of the CA programme. It consists of 6 papers across 2 groups covering Advanced Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, Taxation, Cost Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Management. Students must clear both groups to proceed to CA Final.
CA Intermediate (New Scheme) has 2 groups of 3 papers each. Students can appear for one or both groups at a time. Passing both groups is required to progress to CA Final and Articleship.
6 papers divided across 2 groups. Group 1 and Group 2 can be attempted separately. Each paper carries 100 marks; minimum 40 per paper and 50% aggregate per group to pass.

Advanced Accounting — Company Accounts, Amalgamations, AS standards, Branch Accounts, Hire Purchase
Group 1 – Paper 2
Corporate & Other Laws — Companies Act 2013, LLP Act, FEMA basics, Interpretation of Statutes
Group 1 – Paper 3
Taxation — Income Tax (Salary, HP, PGBP, Capital Gains) + GST (full coverage)
Group 2 – Paper 4
Cost & Management Accounting — Job/Process Costing, Standard Costing, Marginal Costing, Budgetary Control
Group 2 – Paper 5
Auditing & Ethics — Audit Standards, Internal Audit, Company Audit, Professional Ethics

Must complete orientation and ITT (Information Technology Training) within 6 months of registration.
Articleship Timing
Articleship (3 years) begins only after clearing both groups of CA Intermediate.
CA Intermediate exams are held twice a year. Students can appear for one group or both groups simultaneously.
